Great Packages to go with a Hotel Stay

Many smaller Hotels in the UK are experiencing an upturn in business, as the economic climate is encouraging people to spend their money more wisely at home. Of course, they also have to compete with large national hotel chains, which though often lacking in quality personal service, have the financial resources to implement huge marketing campaigns. So, as the owner or manager of a more independent establishment, what can you do to offer your prospective guests a more tailored and appealing package? Here’s some ideas of packages you could offer to get the edge over the large chains: Theatre Packages
Contact your local theatre, and advertise with them. Offer a pre-theatre early evening menu in your hotel restaurant, or perhaps agree a ticket discount which you can offer with an overnight stay package. Celebrations
You may be in an ideal position to offer a range of festive functions. Whether it’s a fantastic ‘work’s Christmas do’ or a wedding function, you are flexible and skilled enough to offer great food and drink, and of course, excellent room rates. Since you’re not constrained by the inflexibility of the corporate hotel chains, you can offer a truly memorable experience to your guests. Business Functions
If there are areas within your hotel that are under used, consider how they might be utilised for local business. Perhaps you can offer conference facilities, complete with hot beverages and sandwiches, or even offer a meal and entertainment packages for special clients your local business wants to impress. Leisure / Sporting Packages
Many small hotels are in beautiful locations around the UK which make them much more pleasant places to stay that the national chain ugly tower blocks off of major ring roads. Capitalise on this; contact your local tourist board and advertise local walks and events around your town or village. If there’s a sporting venue or event coming up near you, contact the management and offer a special ticket and accommodation package. You could even get a special deal with your local taxi company to ferry your guests to and fro in style.
